The Quest for High Wages and Low Inflation.
Thanks to Illinois Attorney and Business Leader DON TRACY for inspiring this effort.
Great jobs.
Rising living standards.
Prices that don't run away.
We believe the surest path to all three is a free-enterprise economy that rewards work, encourages investment, and keeps our government from pouring fuel on inflation.
Our Answer:
Free Markets and Free Enterprise
Free enterprise is not a slogan. It is a system in which people are free to create, compete, invest, and trade—and in which success depends on serving customers, not on political favor.Used well, that system does two things at once:
1. It creates great jobs
Businesses hire when they can see a path to grow. Workers gain when more firms compete for their talent. Training, innovation, and new industries appear when capital can move toward ideas that work.Free markets tend to produce:
The goal is not any job at any wage. The goal is work that pays, lasts, and builds skill.
2. It helps hold inflation in check
Inflation is what happens when too much money chases too few goods—or when policy makes it harder and more expensive to produce the things families need.A healthy free-enterprise system fights inflation by:
Stable prices protect wages. When a dollar keeps its value, a raise is a raise—not a race against the grocery bill.
The Jobs Coalition works to advance policies and public understanding that:
We want an economy where work is honored, enterprise is possible, and prosperity shows up in family budgets.

Growth without price stability leaves families poorer in real terms. Price stability without growth leaves too many people without opportunity. We insist on both.Free markets are not perfect, and they need fair rules. But they remain the most reliable engine ever devised for raising living standards at scale. When they are allowed to function—and when inflation is treated as a threat to working people, not an afterthought—more families can get ahead without waiting for permission.
